About Sindhi Transilterator

Transliteration is transformation of text from one script to another, usually based on phonetic equivalencies. People and software are getting benefited from these transliteration aids. Transliteration from native scripts to Roman script has been achieved for many Asian languages including Arabic, Bengali, Persian, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu are key examples of South Asian language transliterations. Different transliteration applications such as Google, IME facilitates the users of different languages to transliterate from their native scripts to Roman script. It is currently available about for 23 different languages including Arabic, Bengali, Farsi (Persian), Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Sanskrit and Urdu. Transliteration of Sindhi Script is yet been achieve on individual basis domestically, but not yet acknowledged by google.

Sindhi Informatics (Information Technology) section of Sindhi Language Authority has achieved the target to make this possible and enabled this transliteration for Sindhi which can not only transliterate the words, sentences but also paragraphs and pages at one click. Initially it was almost impossible to make it happened with Sindhi script because of dependency on Unicode characters which is no more required today as Sindhi script has been developed with the efforts of different Sindhi Informatics Experts just like other developed languages i.e. English, French, Spanish, Portonguish, Chines etc.

Sindhi language is being written in Roman script as well globally. Sindhi writers and reader had no facility with the existence of any application to transliterate the paragraphs and was required more efforts to achieve the targeted results in minimum timeframe, but now Sindhi Language Authority introduces Transliterating tool/ application and produced the simple platform to transliterate Sindhi Language in text form.
